Description

I got the Seestar S50 portable scope, a very small refractor, 50mm f/5, almost robotic (controlled by a manual app). The main reason why I did explore this small ready to go scope is that is suitable for me when I go to the mountains.
In this test I shot about 1200 frames of the moon, selecting 706, and from those I did process 42% of them. The .AVI was processed using PIPP, followed by Autostakkert.
Then I process using PxI, with what I did consider my best option as follows:
B&W image: Grey colour-HDR-Curves (S shape)-BxT
For the colour image:
Channel separation - R-G-B, Linear fit using Green as reference, Channel combination, Saturation using Curves, HDR, Curves (S shape)-BxT
In both cases I did final touch with GIMP.

In the colour image you can see that this scope, S50 has some colour aberration (chromatic), not that much but it is clearly there. I do not discard that I could do some colour alignment or something like that to eliminate that, I am not sure, anyway, so far I don't know how to do that .

In general, my appreciation is that the scope will be suitable for what I intend to use it.
